Registration for 2018 Spring Lacrosse

Registration has closed for our travel lacrosse program, but we are still accepting registrations for our other two spring programs.  Registration is open for the L3 house program, which is a combination of players and coaches from local towns such as Stratford, Trumbull, and Shelton, and possibly others.  This developmental program will offer one weeknight practice per week, and on the weekend there will be a two hour session where the first hour will be a practice, and the second hour will likely be a game.  Practices and games will rotate between the participating towns.  The cost for this program will be $125, which includes a pinney.  L3 will begin in April and will run for 8 weeks.  This program is perfect for children that are new to the game of lacrosse, as well as for those children that take part in other activities that don’t allow them to make the commitment necessary to be part of a travel team.  Registration for this program closes on February 28, 2018.

This program requires that each child is fully equipped with the following:

Boys equipment – lacrosse stick (no fiddle sticks), shoulder pads, elbow pads, gloves, helmet, mouth guard, cleats, athletic protector.

Girls equipment – lacrosse stick (no fiddle sticks), lacrosse goggles, mouth guard, cleats.

Teams will be divided by the age and grade, as well as by number of registrants.

A current US Lacrosse Membership is also required for all of our spring programs.  During the final registration process prior to the season, if your child does not already have a US Lacrosse Membership that will be valid through June 2018, you will be routed to the US Lacrosse website where you will need to purchase a membership.  The cost of the US Lacrosse Membership is $30.

Lacrosse is a community based sport in the spring season, therefore we can only accept registrations for Stratford residents.

Registration for our Learn To Play Lacrosse is now open as well.  LTP is for our younger players that are brand new to the game.  The only equipment required for this program is a youth lacrosse stick (no fiddle sticks), and a mouth guard.  This program will meet once a week on Sunday mornings, starting in April 2018, and the program will run for 6 weeks.  The children will learn the basic skills needed to play lacrosse: throwing, catching, ground balls, etc.  Registration for this program closes on March 31, 2018.

The cost of registration for the Learn to Play Program is $55.00.  A current US Lacrosse Membership is also required for this program.

Welcome to the Stratford Storm Lacrosse home page, a Sterling House program.  We are a community based, coed youth lacrosse program that emphasizes skill development in a fun (but sometimes competitive) environment.  Our travel teams participate in the Connecticut-New York Lacrosse Association (CONNY).  From this website you will be able to get news, information, schedules, game results, directions and much much more. Check back frequently for the latest information about our program.
